Easton Zito and Olympus Ride a Three-Game Win Streak Into Bountiful

Olympus has won three straight, and senior running back Easton Zito is a big part of it. He scored twice in a 27-6 win over Woods Cross on Thursday, a big night for the Titans' defense too.
Zito's favorite play was his first touchdown. Olympus led just 3-0 and was struggling to finish drives, so the Titans kept running the ball. Zito followed Sam Ngata up the hole, ran through two defenders and walked into the end zone. "That's what I like to do," he said.
He said the turnaround came from the team finding the right personnel and locking in mentally. He praised quarterback Preston Ferran as a dual threat who puts his head down for tough yards and finds open receivers. Eli Rhees goes up and gets deep balls, and Will Farnsworth is shifty and has had several breakout plays.
Zito likes how the defense blitzes to disrupt quarterbacks, and Beckham Allred is back on the edge after an injury. Under coach Casey Evans, he said, Olympus plays "hard-core football," pounding the ball and playing good defense.
Zito barely saw varsity action as a freshman and sophomore. He started last season as the third-string back and worked his way up to the No. 2 spot. "Just keep playing hard and doing your best," he said.
Olympus is 3-1 in Region 6 and hosts Bountiful, which is unbeaten in region play, on Wednesday.
